Cruise and Learn in the 1000 islands

Here is an outline of a 5 day program in the 1000 Islands operating out of Gananoque Ontario.

Gananoque MarinaYou will spend 5 days (4 nights) on the boat. What better way to learn to cruise than by doing it in cruising style? Although there is a lot of material to be covered during your cruise and learn program we will also make sure we have time to enjoy our time on, and in the water. We will finish our "formal" practical training sessions at approximately 4:30pm. This will leave enough time for extra-curricular activities, including "junk food" hour. We typically take a cruise to Kingston in the middle of the course.

If you wish to join the boat on the evening before your course (making 5 nights on board) you may do so. All you will have to pay is the marina fee (~ $30) plus a couple of beers for the skipper.

General Plan

Specific topics may be covered in different sessions dependant on weather conditions and student needs. Theory will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
It is the student responsibility to read the course textbook before the course.
