"Often I create sculptures in a group or series based on a poetic narrative. The pieces suggest a mood or tone rather than tell a story.

"The organic factor remains important. I look for volumes, edges, transitional points, movements from one shape into another. Nature lays all that out and directs me.

"I choose steel and stainless steel for its tensile strength. Bronze, although not a structural metal moves well and lasts forever. "Mixing the metals and even adding color to the surface enlivens my sculptures organic essence."

In House Series, Boyajian compliments the reductive shapes, minimal color and primitive figures which establish an external architectural format with smoke billowing from chimneys -- a seeming reference to the humanity within.
